Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report
6/7/2012
mayfly hatch continues, the 3-5 days of high winds we had this past week, have scattered the walleye everywhere, best reports are comingĀ from 11-12 miles out, north of west sister and toward the turn-around buoy, hopefully the predicted warm calm weather for the weekend will school up walleye and bring them closer in. Selling lots of nighcrawlers in store, that seems to be as good as anything trolling worm harnesses, J-7′s workin well and spoons. Fishermen have been walleye fishing first then going to catch perch, remember we have those special frozen emerald shiners, but we also have live emerald shiners. Perch north of B-C-cans and north of Niagara. Walleye fishing definately got tougher with them not schooled up, everyone is kinda tightlipped since things got tougher too, charters not even talkin. Remember fishing licenses, get them before you get to lake, time consuming process, be sure to keep old licenses, has customer I.D. number on it will make writing licenses next year a lot easier.
